In the latest release of the plugin (0.33) I added the possibility to position hover icons vertically, so now you get to choose whether you want them to be stacked vertically or horizontally. That feature allows to set the hover panel to appear right beside the image, just like it does on e.g. BuzzFeed.
How to do that?
First, set the orientation to vertical in the hover module settings. Then change the position to Top left, Middle left, or Bottom left. Then you need to adjust the hover panel position. Read how to do that here. If you’re using the default icon set, you just need to set the left offset to -48 and that’s it. The hover panel appears beside the image, just like that:
Please note that at this point Frizzly’s lightbox doesn’t work properly with such a set of settings (the hover panel doesn’t appear). I’m working on fixing the issue and hope to get it fixed for the next release.
